James was born on February 26 of 1976 in Charleston, SC. His Mother is Mary Evelyn Rachel Fouts and his father is Jimmie Ray Fouts.

He was raised in Charleston, SC until the age of 5. His first move was to Athens, GA, which would be the first of many since his father was in the U.S. Navy. He continued to move around from Athens, GA to Virginia Beach, VA to Lone Oak, TX to Argentia, Newfoundland Canada and to Kingsland, GA where his father retired.

While in Canada he was a member of the Boy Scouts. Although very cold, Canada was his most memorable place to live. While in Georgia he started his high school life. There he had a lot of up and downs. During his sophomore year in High School he decided to work full time instead of continuing his education. At the age of eighteen he did figure out that no diploma wouldn't get him where he wanted to go very quickly, so he enrolled back into a alternative program and received his GED. After getting his GED he hit the world face on and dabbled a bit with running some businesses, which none were very profitable in the end.

After hitting rock bottom after a failing business venture, he worked full time at various places to try and make ends meet and pay debts. During the evenings he spent a lot of his time playing around on computers, since that has been one of his most enjoyable activities since the age of 5. On March 3rd, 1997 he was playing around on America Online and decided to check out the Jacksonville, Florida chat room for the heck of it to see what was going on. He rarely ever visited chat rooms and only spent 2-3 minutes in there watching others talk and exited the room before saying a thing. About 30 seconds after exiting he received an Instant Message from Marizza saying Hello. Since he wasn't much of an online social person he had it setup to where all of his messages where responded to automatically with a message and he would decide which ones he would respond to.. For some reason he said Hello back which wasn't something that he ever did before to someone he didn't know.

After that night of talking, James spent hours upon hours online talking to Marizza. After a couple of weeks he gained enough courage to talk to her on the phone and after a couple more weeks he met her in person. And that is where James' life before Marizza ended!

The Lives and Love of James and Marizza

Before James and Marizza ever met, they knew that something was special about their relationship. They had spent around a month talking online almost everyday and had talked on the phone enough to rack up a $800 phone bill in a month. They met at Marizza's house one night when James went into Jacksonville.

The first night was more nervousness than anything. Marizza's mother cooked some lumpia up for us and Marizza and James sat next to each other and talked for a while. After that James made frequent visits to Marizza's house to spend time with her. They visited St. Augustine, Florida a couple times and it soon became their favorite place to get away. James and Marizza got extremely close over the next few months and Marizza's parents soon noticed.

Since James was not a member of Marizza's church, Marizza's parents were very upset that we were more than just friends. It was against Marizza's parents, and her, religion to marry outside of the church. James went to many Bible studies and had seriously considered becoming a member of the church to cool the fires that were brewing. After months of Bible studies, and personal studies, James decided that the church was not right for him. Marizza was also seeing things in the church that she did not care for.

The next year, February 1998, James decided to move to Syracuse, NY to see if he could find a job/career in the computer industry since there was not a lot to choose from in Jacksonville. It was a very hard time for James and Marizza to be away from each other. They spent many hours on the phone and online talking to each other almost every single night... During the first couple of weeks, James found a placement agency and they placed him into a job working on computer equipment for Cardinal Health.

On April 15th 1998 James and Marizza figured that they had spent too much time apart from each other and needed to be with each other again... Against all of Marizza's parents wishes, Marizza left her home in Jacksonville and moved to Syracuse, NY. Soon after, they found an apartment and got their first place together. After months of no communication, Marizza's parents finally saw that Marizza was going to be taken care of by James and that there was truly 'Love' there and not just something temporary.

By the summer James' job with Cardinal Health had gotten stronger and he started to entertain the opportunity of working directly for Cardinal Health. He flew to Boston and had gotten an offer from on of the offices there, yet he didn't feel that it was what they were looking for. He then drove to Columbus, Ohio and interviewed with the people at Headquarters and was immediately offered a nice salary as well as "great" benefits.

On November 16th, 1998 James and Marizza moved into their 2nd apartment together in Columbus, Ohio. Later that month Marizza's mom came to visit them and I believe it was then that Marizza's parents found out how much they really cared for each other and how much James was going to take care of Marizza. After moving to Columbus they really got up on their feet and were able to enjoy life quite a bit more than before. They made frequent trips to Florida and all over the Eastern US.

James spent almost 2 years with Cardinal Health before moving on. In October of 1999 he responded to a classified ad from UUNET and got a very nice offer from them. He is a Network Engineer III with them and enjoys his job most of the time.

In June of 2001 Marizza decided that she was tired of staying at home and being a housewife all the time and started working at the leasing office where we live as a leasing consultant.

This hasn't been updated since 2001 and many things have changed... We will update this when we have a chance!
