Old Entries

I figured that I would go ahead and start "archiving" my old website entries, instead of just deleting them.  Thought it might be nice to check back from time to time and see what I wrote... Enjoy!

We removed the links to Our Camper and Ohio House from the Home Page since we have since sold the camper and the house.  If you would see like to see the pics and pages, here they are...  Camper  House

10/5/04 - Well, we are starting to settle down here in Florida.  The business is really starting to shape up and we really expect to be in the swing of things within  a couple of weeks.  The company is now registered with Florida as "Global Archiving, LLC".  We plan to have the website up within a couple of weeks as well.  I am adding a couple of pics to the site too.  You can see them here!

9/4/04 - We are now in Florida and getting everything setup and going here.  We have been down here for a few weeks now and we have been working everyday.  The business is progressing and we are shooting for Thanksgiving Day for full capacity.  Wish us luck and keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

7/9/04 - A LOT HAS HAPPENED!!!
James volunteered at MCI for a workforce reduction (politically correct way of saying "layoff").  We have decided to sell the house in Ohio and move back to Florida.  We are starting a new business down there archiving documents for companies.  We have already moved our household down to Florida and are currently in Ohio fixing up the house to get it ready to sell.  Marizza is doing well on dialysis now.  Things are a bit stressful for now, but we know that this will be a better move for us in the long run.  Marizza's parents are in Jacksonville as well and we will be able to help them out when they need it.  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward through this new adventure.

5/1/04 - Hello all!  We are adding quite a few pics to the site today.  Please go to the Misc Pictures page to see the new additions.  We just got back home from camping down the road with my grandparents that came in from Texas and we had a blast.  We are going to be heading to Florida later today to visit with Marizza's parents for a bit as well.  Marizza's transplant could occur in July now if all goes well.  Misha and Marizza will be going through a couple more screenings to make sure all is okay, but if all goes well, the transplant could occur mid-July.  We really had a great time this week with my grandparents and look forward to our trip to Florida as well. We hope to take some pics while we are down there and post those when we get back.

4/18/04 - It's been quite a while since our last update...  Marizza is still on dialysis and is awaiting a possible transplant in June.  Marizza and Misha were matches for the kidney, but Marizza's antibodies were too high to accept the kidney immediately.  They are currently looking into a somewhat experimental procedure at OSU using plasmapherisis and IVIG treatments to lower her antibodies to accept the kidney.  We should know more about this in the coming month.  I am adding some pics of my birthday here.  My grandparents will be visiting next week from Texas and I hope to have some more pics up shortly from that visit.  We are also planning to head to Florida for a little vacation on May 1st and should have some pics up of that visit as well.

2/9/04 - Just to update everyone, Marizza is starting to do a bit better.  She has decided that she is going to need to leave work for now and concentrate on getting better.  A friend of hers, Misha, has been kind enough to offer her a kidney.  They are currently being tested for compatibility to see if the donor kidney will match up with Marizza's system.  We are very thankful for the kind gesture and hope that they will be a match.  We took a few pics this last weekend and have posted them here.

1/7/04 - Happy new year to all and we hope everyone had a great holiday season.  Quite a bit has happened since our last update.  For those of you who do not know, Marizza has Lupus which caused her kidneys to fail when she was 18.  She got a transplant when she was 24 and it worked great for quite a while!  Well, in early November of last year, her transplanted kidney started failing.  Marizza is now back on dialysis and is waiting to be listed in Ohio and Florida for a donor kidney again.  We had quite a bit of ups and downs over the holidays with her health, but she is doing a lot better now.   She is now feeling well enough that she is going back to work part-time.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

10/3/03 - A couple new employees have joined the ranks at MCI.. Please help us welcome Steve-O and Gibbie!!

9/26/03 - Posted an e-book on how to winterize your RV...

9/24/03 - I just posted a page showing a hitch after a rear end accident with a PU.. Looks fairly nasty.. Check it out!

7/23/03 - It's been quite some time once again since I have updated this site.  Since my last update we have traded in the conversion van and purchased a new vehicle.  We were planning on keeping the van for a couple of more years, but we also bought a new camper.  The van pulled the camper 'ok' but it wasn't made to do the job.  We purchased a Ford Excursion Diesel that is definitely made to handle it.  We just made it back into town from our first trip on Monday.  We traveled almost 700 miles to Kansas City, Missouri.  We had a family reunion there.  We had a a great time seeing everyone again and camping with the 2 boys (Pepe and Max , of course).  Unfortunately, we didn't have much of a chance to take many pics at all.  I am adding some pics of the camper and one pic of me below with my cousin Hanna!

4/10/03 - We just added some additional web space to this site and it included 5 subdomains and 5 POP accounts.   If anyone would like a subdomain (i.e. http://pictures.thefoutsfamily.com) or a POP account (i.e. james@thefoutsfamily.com), please email us and we will see about getting one setup for you.  For the subdomain, you will need to have a website already and we can point it to your site.

4/10/03 - I added a couple of pages of pics to the Year 2002 page.  For those of you on the Update Me list, I will send an email from work tomorrow since that is where the list is stored.

3/25/03 - We are going to be going out later today to gather some items to send over to some troops in the war.  Please check out http://www.operationshoebox.com to see what you can do to help support our troops.  These men and women are thousands of miles away from home fighting for our country.  I am sure they would love to get a package from the United States from someone that doesn't even know them, showing our support!

3/16/03 - The snow is finally gone!!!  Yesterday was the first really nice day of the year, and today is even better so far.  The rest of the week looks like it will stay warm, but it will be raining (welcome to spring).  We have noticed some bulbs from the prior owners that have started to bloom.  This spring may end up being a big surprise since this is the first spring in the house.  I have yet to add pics to the web site still, but I will definitely send everyone on the update list an email as soon as I do...

3/05/03 - Well, we are READY for spring to be here!!  Above is a pic of the house after one of the heaviest snowfalls this year.  We have had a record year for temps and snow.  Temps at this time are usually around high 40's to low 50's and we are still fighting freezing temps and snow!  We are still working on the basement (very slowly).  I am still hanging on at WorldCom and Marizza is still loving her job at Casto.  We haven't had much of a chance lately to update the site, but we will attempt to do what we can do to it before too long...  We have over 100 pics that we still need to get up on the site, we just need to take the time to go through them and edit them to get them up...  Sign up for updates and we will send you a message when they go up!

1/2/03 - Well, it 2003 now and we have begun a new project!  With the help of my father-in-law I have started to finish our basement.  Unlike the other projects we have completed, we did take pics of this one.  We hope to have most framing done today or tomorrow and mostly complete by Monday.  We will hopefully have updates next week on this...

12/06/02 - Thanksgiving was great!  My mother and step-father came down for a few days and we had a great time!  Hope everyone else's holiday was great as well.  I hope to have some snow covered pics before too long up on the site....  Sorry that the pic updates are taking so long.

11/10/02 - We still haven't gotten any new pics up.  We have been waiting for nice weather to take some outside pics, but it hasn't come yet.  We are preparing for the holidays now and they are coming up quick on us.  My mother and step-father, are going to be joining us for Thanksgiving here.  I took a couple of weeks off so that I can try and work on the house some more before everyone gets here.  Marizza's parents are planning to join us right after Christmas Day for a bit as well, so we have quite a bit of work to get done in a fairly short amount of time.  I will try and get some newer pics up before too long...

10/25/02 - We have been working on the house quite a bit lately and the updates, as usual, have fallen behind.  We just got finished painting the new door and repairing some lawn issues.  I hope to have some new outside pics soon.  We have also had quite a few questions about the inside. Well, we are still in the ongoing process of unpacking and the inside is still a little scattered.  We are hoping to be totally unpacked within the next couple of weeks and we will start to slowly add some inside pics.  We have done A LOT of work to the inside, but we unfortunately did not take any before pics.  We just jumped into the work with both feet and forgot to track our progress...  I plan to have a page for each area of the house and a listing of what we have done to that area as well as our plans for that area.  We'll see what happens...  As soon as pics are added, the people on the update list will get an email letting them know..

We have a new family member.  In June we adopted a 1 year old Australian Shepard.  His name is Max.   It took some time for Pepe to get used to him, but they are getting along much better now!
